This is my one living review of Stake, tested on my own account with my own money. It works like a diary: the verdict up top always reflects everything I've done so far, and every new session gets added to the timeline below with its date. So far: sign-up, the ID check, a license check, a $50 USDT deposit, fifty rounds of Dice, a full withdrawal back to my wallet, and one of my Dice rolls verified, seed hash included.

I run every review the same way: I deposit real money, play, log the dates, amounts and screenshots, try to get my money back out, and only then write. Nothing here is a rewrite of someone else's article or a press kit.

Stake is casino number one on my roster. That means two things. I don't have another casino I've tested with my own money to hold it up against yet, so everything below is Stake on its own terms. And every casino I test after this one gets measured against Stake. I've browsed a few crypto casinos before, though, without depositing, and I know what they usually look like. Stake didn't look like that.

Where I stand right now

Won me over

  • A calm homepage: no pop-up banners, about ten buttons in the sidebar, and just two tabs up top, Casino and Sports
  • It doesn't push you to play. For someone who wants to look around first, it's a good place to start
  • A Curaçao license I could find on the regulator's own register: Medium Rare N.V., OGL/2024/1451/0918
  • Deposit landed in two minutes: sent at 7:37 PM, credited at 7:39 PM
  • Withdrawal landed in my wallet four minutes after I asked: requested at 3:44 PM, received at 3:48 PM
  • Provably fair Dice with a Fairness button right under the game. I verified one of my own rolls, seed hash included, and it matched
  • Over twenty coins to deposit with, and a buy-crypto option by card or bank transfer if you don't own any yet
  • Live chat: a real person in under a minute, and all three of my questions answered in 11 minutes
  • A huge game library: Stake Originals, slots, live casino, game shows, and providers like Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming and Evolution

Bugged me

  • No deposit bonus anywhere. Not when I signed up, not when I deposited, even though their terms mention one
  • Signing up with Google didn't load after I picked a username, so I had to register by email
  • The ID check wants your country, your full home address and an ID document before you play
  • A flat 1 USDT fee on withdrawals, on top of the network fee my own wallet charged me to deposit
  • The register shows the license past its June 9, 2026 expiry date, marked "Assessment in progress"
  • Who really owns Medium Rare N.V. is unclear, according to reporting on the regulator's own leaked records

The verdict so far

Three days in, my read is this: for a first crypto casino, Stake made it easy. It's calm, and it pays out fast. From sign-up to withdrawal, the whole thing was seamless. My $50 was in the account two minutes after I sent it, and back in my wallet four minutes after I asked for it, plus the $3.46 I won on Dice, minus a dollar for the fee.

What I like most is the simplicity. You're not hit with banners the second you land, the sidebar is short, and if you want more games you just load more. A first-timer can find almost anything here without being buried. The license is linked right at the bottom of the page, and the Fairness tool means you don't have to take their word on the rolls.

Two things kept it from being perfect for me. Stake asked for my ID and my home address, which bothered me more than I expected on a crypto site. And for a casino this big, I was expecting at least a 100% or 200% deposit bonus. I didn't see one anywhere. I only played one game, so there's a lot left to test, and I'm looking forward to coming back. For now, Stake is the bar: two minutes in, four minutes out, a license you can click, and no bonus. Every casino after this one has to beat that.

First impressions: a crypto casino that doesn't shout

Every time I've opened a crypto casino before, the first thing I saw was pop-ups. Banners, ads, offers, all at once. Stake didn't do that. The sidebar has about ten buttons. The top corner only asks me to sign in or register. Up top there are just two choices, Casino and Sports.

There are plenty of games, but they don't all come at you at once. You get a few rows, trending sports, live casino, races, a leaderboard, and a "load more" if you want to see the rest. Everything below that is resources, which I liked too. The whole place has this vibe of not forcing me to play. For someone who wants to explore first, I think Stake is a good starting point.

No pop-ups. Ten buttons in the sidebar. I didn't expect that from a crypto casino.

Where's the deposit bonus?

From what I've seen browsing other crypto casinos, they put a deposit bonus in your face the moment you look at the deposit screen. 100% match, 200% match, free spins. I clicked on deposit crypto, then buy crypto, and there was nothing. No banner, no offer.

I went looking. Stake's terms do talk about deposit bonuses, but I never saw one on my account, not when I signed up and not after I deposited. The promotions page is full: raffles, a $100k race, a $75k weekly raffle, boosted odds for five sports leagues, a Kevin Hart promo with Pragmatic Play. But none of it is a welcome bonus for a new player putting money in.

The promotions page: raffles, races, boosted odds, and no welcome bonus.
Plenty of promotions. No deposit match for a new account.

A name this big, and not even a 100% match? That kind of sucks.

Signing up, and the Google button that didn't work

I clicked Register and picked "continue with Google," because a one-click sign-up is always the easiest. It asked me for a username. Then I clicked register and nothing loaded. So I went the usual way and signed up by email. That worked, and it didn't take long. I would have loved the Google option, but it was okay.

Stake sent an email code straight away, and it was already in my inbox by the time I looked.

The ID check comes before the first bet

Then came identity verification. It asks for your country, and that's not optional. Then your home address, city, postal code, and a document type: driver's license, national ID card, international passport, or other. You upload the front and back.

Once I uploaded my documents, a pop-up told me the verification was received and I could start playing. I hadn't deposited anything yet, so the button just said "Deposit & Play." There's also an "Enhanced Verification" tab under it. I'm not doing that unless I have to.

Verification Received: the pop-up after uploading my ID.
Submitted, and cleared to play. The ID upload fields sit behind the pop-up.

My ID and my home address, for a crypto casino. That part bothered me.

Before I deposit: who owns this, and is the license real?

I wanted to know who I was sending money to. The footer says Stake is owned and operated by Medium Rare N.V., registration number 145353, registered at Seru Loraweg 17 B, Curaçao. The payment agents are Medium Rare Limited and MRS Tech Limited, and there's a support email right there too, support@stake.com.

The footer: owner, registration number, address, and the GCB license logo.
Everything you need to check who you're dealing with, in one paragraph. The GCB logo in the middle is the one that links to the license.

I wasn't sure how to check a license, so I clicked the logo at the bottom of the site, the one that says cert.gcb.cw. It took me to the portal of the Curaçao Gaming Authority, and there it was: a certificate of operation for stake.com, operated by Medium Rare N.V., a company incorporated under the laws of Curaçao, company number 145353. The grant date reads 09-06-2025, and the status is active. The portal doesn't say whether that's day-month or month-day, so it's either September 6 or June 9, 2025. Either way, it's current.

Clicked the logo, landed on the regulator's page, license active. Took a minute.

my notes · October 24

Correction, October 27: reporting on the license gives its grant date as June 9, 2025, so the certificate's 09-06-2025 is day first. And "current" needs a footnote: the regulator's register now shows the license past its June 9, 2026 expiry date, under assessment. More on October 27.

So many games, I didn't know where to start

Stake is two things: a casino and a sportsbook. On the casino side there are the Stake Originals, their own games, like Dice, Mines, Plinko, Crash, Limbo, Slide, Chicken and more every time you load more. Then the slots, lots of them, from more providers than I could count. I started going through the list and it just kept going. I recognized a few, Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming and Evolution. Most I didn't know.

After that come live casino, game shows, games that are only on Stake, burst games, new releases, and so on. If you're looking for one specific game, you'll most likely find it here. And because it doesn't throw hundreds of games at you all at once, it still doesn't feel crowded.

I also noticed the Fairness button on Dice, bottom right, with fields for a client seed, a server seed and a nonce. I had no idea what any of that meant yet. That came later.

Fifty dollars in, two minutes flat

If you don't own crypto, Stake lets you buy it on the platform with a card or a bank transfer, so you don't need to know anything about crypto to start. You can also deposit in local currency, though that asks for your phone number.

If you already have crypto, the list of coins is long: USDT, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Solana, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, XRP, Tron, EOS, BNB, USDC, ApeCoin, BUSD, Cronos, DAI, Chainlink, The Sandbox, Shiba Inu, Uniswap, Polygon and Trump coin.

I went with USDT on the Ethereum network, ERC20. Stake gave me an address and said the deposit would be credited after two confirmations. My wallet charged me 1 USDT in network fees, and I wanted exactly 50 to arrive, so I sent 51. I sent it at around 7:37 PM.

By 7:40 PM the $50 was already in my account. The transaction history shows the deposit was detected at 7:39 PM, two minutes after I sent it, and blockchain confirmed and completed in that same minute. It even lists the payment provider, direct wallet transfer, and the transaction hash. Two minutes, start to finish.

The deposit record: 50 USDT on ERC20, detected and completed at 7:39 PM.

Learning Dice with my own fifty dollars

With $50 in the account, I went to the first game in Stake Originals, Dice. There were 2,506 people playing it. I didn't know how it worked, so I just started.

After a few minutes I had it figured out, and it's simple. You pick a number on a slider from 0 to 100 and bet on the roll landing over it, or under it. I stuck to the 50-50 chance the whole time, a dollar a bet, flipping between roll over and roll under. At a 50% chance it pays 1.98x, so a win earns you 98 cents and a loss costs you a dollar.

I actually enjoyed watching my $50 go to 51, 52, 53, and then back down to 48, 47. That dip is the part that makes you want to bet more, just to win back what you lost. I bet the whole $50, a dollar at a time: 27 wins, 23 losses, and a profit of $3.46.

Dice at $1 a bet, roll over 50, balance at 52.84 USDT.
A dollar a bet at 1.98x. Green pills are wins. Balance mid-session: 52.84 USDT.

What I like here is the interface. When I opened Dice, everything I needed was right there. There's a stats panel that showed I'd wagered 50 USDT in total, and a short description that explains the game and calls it provably fair.

50 up to 53, then down to 47. That's the part that makes you want to keep clicking.

my notes · October 26

What "provably fair" actually means

At the bottom right of the game there's the Fairness button. It shows an overview, your seeds, and a tab to verify a result. I had no idea how to use it, so I looked it up.

Here's how I understand it now. The client seed is your seed. The active server seed is the casino's, and it's locked in before you roll, like a number sealed in an envelope. Together, they're the math that decides the outcome. Because the casino's part is sealed before you roll the dice, it can't change the outcome after you bet. If you want to check, you paste the seeds and the nonce into the verify tab and it recalculates the roll. I'll be honest, I haven't done that part yet. I understand the idea, but I didn't work out how to actually verify one of my own rolls. It's on my list for the next session.

The casino's number is sealed before I roll. That's the whole trick, and it's a good one.

my notes · October 26

Getting it all back out in four minutes

Time to test the part that matters. I opened the withdrawal window with 53.45999999 USDT in the account, about $53.41. On Ethereum, the most I could withdraw was 52.45999999, a dollar less, because the transaction fee is 1 USDT. The minimum withdrawal is 2.5 USDT.

When I clicked Withdraw, Stake emailed a withdrawal code to the address I registered with. I put it in, and it said the withdrawal was complete.

My transaction history shows I requested it at 3:44 PM, and it was confirmed on the blockchain at 3:44 PM, all four steps in the same minute. 52.46 USDT landed in my personal wallet at 3:48 PM. Four minutes, start to finish.

The withdrawal record: four steps, all at 3:44 PM.
Requested, ready, sent and confirmed on the blockchain, all at 3:44 PM.

I got the entire amount out. Since I never had a deposit bonus, there was no wagering requirement standing between me and my money. That's the upside of no bonus. The downside is I didn't get one.

Asked at 3:44. In my wallet at 3:48. The whole fifty, plus what I won.

Verifying one of my own Dice rolls

Last session I said verifying a roll was on my list. So I picked one of my Dice bets from October 26: a dollar on roll over 50 that landed on 68.37.

To check it, I switched to a new seed pair. That makes Stake reveal the seed it had kept sealed while I played. I put it into the Fairness tool with my own seed and the bet's number, and got 68.37 again. The revealed seed also matches the sealed version Stake showed me before I rolled, so it wasn't changed after my bet. I had both checked outside Stake's own tool as well.

The betStake bet slip: Dice, October 26, 2026 at 3:31 PM, bet ID 527,708,537,150, 1 USDT on roll over 50, rolled 68.37, paid 1.98 USDT.

Checking the license on the register myself

On October 24 I checked Stake's license through the badge in its footer. This time I went straight to the Curaçao Gaming Authority's own register. Medium Rare N.V. is on it, with the same company number as Stake's footer.

The Curaçao Gaming Authority's license register, row 194: Medium Rare N.V., company number 145353, expires 9-Jun-26, Assessment in progress.
Medium Rare N.V. on the regulator's register, row 194.

But its expiry date, June 9, 2026, has passed, and the register lists it as "Assessment in progress" instead of active. It doesn't say what that means, so I'll ask Stake.

Who actually owns Medium Rare N.V. also turned out to be less clear than I expected. That research has its own page: Who's behind each casino I reviewed. Between the two, Stake's license gets a Caution for now.

Asking support my three money questions

At 3:37 PM I opened live chat and asked the same three money questions I'll ask every casino. A person named Milo joined within a minute, and all three answers were in by 3:48.

  • Do you offer a deposit bonus?Only through affiliates. You need an affiliate code at sign-up or within 24 hours, and my 24 hours had passed.Matches Stake's help center
  • What's the minimum withdrawal and fee, and is there a limit?"Depends on the crypto and the network", plus a link to Stake's help article. The article has the answer: no maximum, and for USDT a 2.5 minimum and a 1 USDT fee.Right, by link
  • Would a big withdrawal need extra verification?"Not necessary", because my ID is already verified. That's what happened: my withdrawal only needed the email code. Stake's terms do keep the option to ask for more checks on any withdrawal, so it's worth knowing they can.Matches my withdrawal
The bonusStake live chat: Milo says deposit bonuses usually come from affiliates, and the affiliate code had to be entered at registration or within 24 hours.
The limitsStake live chat: Milo says withdrawal limits and fees depend on the crypto and network, and links to the help article on withdrawal limits.
The ID checksStake live chat: Milo says the account is verified and additional verification steps are not necessary.

Fast, friendly, and it finally explained the missing bonus. Every answer held up against Stake's own help center and terms, so support gets a Pass.

Next update

Coming next: the second casino on my roster, which gets compared against everything above. On Stake itself, I only played one game, so next time I want to try more of the Stake Originals, maybe a slot or two. I also want a straight answer on what "Assessment in progress" means for the license, and Stake's own answer on who owns Medium Rare N.V. EDIT: anything specific, sportsbook, live casino, support chat

A word of care

Gambling is for adults, 18+ and of legal age where you live. Dice at 1.98x still carries a house edge, and a winning weekend doesn't change that. I felt the pull myself when my balance dipped to 47 and I wanted to win it back. Only deposit what you're fine losing, and if it stops being fun, Stake has a Responsible Gambling page in the sidebar. Use it.
